Seven years ago, I left my family and moved to Germany alone with the dream to pursue my Bachelor's degree here. I started learning the language, went through university applications, and fell in love with this country in the process. Today I am only one year away from graduating, and I can say from my heart that Germany has become my home.
As an international student without family in the country, I must have proof of funding for my studies which requires a deposit of €11,904 every year. Without meeting this requirement, I will not be able to renew my residence permit and complete my degree, despite being so close to graduating.

My father was my biggest supporter. Ever since my brother and I were children, he saved money so that we would one day be able to pursue higher education. When I told him that I wanted to move to Germany to study university, he promised to support me for as long as I needed because he believed I could achieve my dreams. He was signed as my main financial support for my resident permit.

Then three years ago his health began to deteriorate rapidly and unexpectedly. After a long and expensive search for answers, he was finally diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). By the time we received the diagnosis, the disease had already progressed too far.

My father passed away on July 7, 2025. With his passing, I lost not only my biggest supporter, but also the financial stability that made it possible for me to study in Germany. Overnight, I found myself facing a situation I never imagined I would be in.

For years, I have worked alongside my studies to support myself and have always tried to be as independent as possible. Asking for help is incredibly difficult for me. My mom sadly has no income and we were hit deeply by the financial stress that this illness brought. I came to Germany on my own, distance form my family makes everything more difficult. I applied for scholarships, searched for every form of financial aid I could find, and explored every alternative available to me. Unfortunately, none of these options were enough. This fundraiser is truly my last resort.

Reaching the amount for the yearly deposit is the primary goal of this fundraiser, but sadly my father's illness and passing created unexpected financial challenges that I have not been able to overcome through work alone. My visa situation doesn't allow me to work beyond a specific amount of hours each year. Until my visa is properly extended when I finally have a proof of funding for my last year, I face threat of deportation. Any additional support would allow me to finish my final year with greater stability and focus on completing my degree instead of constantly worrying about my financial and visa situation.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this. Through a donation or by sharing this campaign, your support would really save my life after this painful situation.
