Project Update — April 16, 2026

POST HUMAN has now moved beyond its initial embedded filming phase and is entering a critical period of development, positioning, and long-form financing.

Following over 180 hours of principal documentary footage, the project is now in active producer dialogue, with early conversations underway regarding editorial collaboration, financing structure, and long-form distribution pathways.

At the same time, festival preparation has officially begun, with the material being shaped toward its first professional festival-ready cut and development package.

Institutional conversations regarding continuation funding and regional production support remain under active consideration.

The next stage of development will continue during an upcoming artist residency in Obermehler, Germany, which will provide the space and conditions necessary to further assess the project’s formal needs, editorial direction, and long-term production requirements.

This residency period is essential to clarifying the most responsible path forward for the work.

A core principle of POST HUMAN is that authorship must be deeply challenged rather than protected by ego.

For this reason, future distribution and editorial development of the project requires collaboration with:

an independent editor

an ethical review framework

psychological consultation and oversight

This process is essential to ensuring that questions of vulnerability, representation, emotional impact, and participant safety are handled with rigor, care, and accountability.

The current Phase One development budget has increased to €28,000, reflecting the real needs of the project at this stage.

This budget is intended to be met through alignment with a financier producer or producing partner whose values are genuinely in line with the project’s ethics and vision.

Until that alignment is secured, this support page remains open primarily for friends, family, and close supporters who understand the personal and financial limitations currently affecting my ability to continue the work independently, including the realities of living and working with ADHD.

At this time, the project’s essential editing infrastructure needs — including a dedicated computer system and archival hard-drive storage — have now been successfully secured since this page first went live.

This has allowed the development process to continue under significantly more stable working conditions and has made it possible to begin festival preparation, producer dialogues, and the first editorial structuring phase.

Current support now helps cover the costs that cannot yet be reasonably included within institutional or producer-led financing, including:

medication and health-related costs

travel required for project continuity

living expenses during development

residency-related mobility and setup

immediate operational needs during Phase One
