I am in my final year of nursing school at Chamberlain University, and after years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, I am so close to the finish line. By the grace of God, I’ve made it this far, and I truly don’t want to give up now because of a financial hold. Unfortunately, I have run out of government funding for grants and student loans. I currently owe my school $14,030.28. In order to register for my final classes, I must pay at least $10,030.28 upfront and set up a payment plan for the remaining balance. This unexpected financial barrier is the only thing standing between me and completing my nursing degree. I am doing everything I can to stay afloat. I work to financially maintain my household while also caring for my son, who has level two autism. Balancing work, school, and motherhood has been incredibly demanding, and at times, very financially stressful—but I refuse to give up on this dream.
Becoming a nurse will not only transform my life, but also allow me to give back in meaningful ways. Nursing is more than a career to me—it’s a calling. I want to serve as an advocate, educator, and compassionate caregiver in my community. My goal is to promote health, improve access to care, and support individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments. I want to help prevent illness through education and be someone my community can trust.
With your support, I will be able to continue my education without the overwhelming burden of financial stress and finally complete my nursing program. Your contribution will go toward tuition, books, clinical supplies, and the costs required to finish strong. This isn’t just an investment in me—it’s an investment in a future nurse who is committed to giving back through service, care, and dedication.
If you’re able to donate, share, or offer words of encouragement, it would truly mean the world to me. Even if you are unable to donate, I ask that you pray for me through this. Delayed doesn’t mean denied. Thank you for being part of my journey.
