Hi, my name is Jamie and I'm a visual artist from Ecuador. I travelled to the UK to get my MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, one of the best art schools in the world. I have been working for years to get to this place, developing my academic, artistic and professional skills. I come from the global south and just to be here is a huge achievement and I'm beyond grateful. I am the first generation in my entire family to study for a Master's degree. ( and the only artist ✨)
Before coming here, I was actively looking for scholarships, funding and jobs in the UK. I spent half or more of my time applying to various opportunities, but I haven't had any luck. I got my last scholarship rejection in January. There are no scholarship opportunities in my home country, which is experiencing one of the biggest crises in recent times.
I currently have some part time jobs but I can only do a few hours due to my visa, and the earnings usually are spent entirely on food, transport and accommodation.
I'm here to ask for help. I’m about to finish and I firmly believe in myself and my graduation project!
I will make 10 limited edition prints (Design will to be announced soon) and will send them to the top 10 donors, wherever they are in the world in September 2025.
Please help me graduate and spread this to the world!
