Help Me finish my Dream Solo Album

Good day to you all good people.

As you may or may not know I am a member of the amazing Austin Texas band The South Austin Moonlighters. I along with the members of that band have been working tirelessly since 2011 to get SAM on the map with great success, and now it's time I take a moment for myself. And for your information, I haven't released a solo effort since 2008, and that's way too long.

In 2021, along with producer Steve Berlin, I began work on a solo album of all original self penned music that is quite frankly, if I do say so myself, my masterpiece. With the help of maxing out two Credit Cards I funded two thirds of the album myself, but now I have hit a wall financially and it sits on a shelf collecting dust.

My reason for this urgency? Well, sadly many friends, acquaintances, and colleagues in my life, and around my age group, have been passing away suddenly and it has me concerned that this might happen to me too before I can finish this project. And I really believe this album needs to be out in the world for all to consume. With all that is happening in the world today, if I can bring a little joy to the world through my music, I am going to make every effort to make this happen so that I can rest easy knowing I can leave the planet and this beautiful album will see the light of day.

In order to finish I need to accomplish the following; Backing vocals on two thirds of the songs, so this would require booking a studio with an engineer at roughly $1000. Then I would need to hire a mixing Engineer to mix for both digital distribution and for Vinyl pressing at roughly $2000. Then both the Digital and Vinyl mixes would need to be Mastered at roughly $2300. Then to make master plates for pressing Vinyl at roughly $2000. Pressing the Vinyl is a separate cost of roughly $1200. Then the album artwork and photography would need to be done at roughly $1000.

So as you can see, in order for me to do this professionally and properly, it is costly. This is where you come in. You can essentially be the Patrons of this Art by contributing to this Solo Album. I hope you will consider helping me finish this dream masterpiece to completion.
