Help Me Find A Home For My Family

My name is Samantha Baldwin, I am the mother of three: the first two Shyloh Jaedyn and Myles Allen Ray were born by my first husband Joshua Lehigh. We seperated and divorced and Lydia-Rose was born by my second husband Lucas Baldwin. Josh and my divorce was a peaceful one, we chose to leave one another on good terms...we fell out of love yet we loved one another. Our custody was joint and the decision to move South was a mutual one. I came down here alone to find a job and an apartment to bring my family to North Carolina. I stayed with my sister in law and her boyfriend. I succeeded in the beginning of Oct and I was so excited. My family was coming down on the 31st. I viewed a model of the apartment that I was supposed to move into, I'd get the keys on the 30th. The day I got the keys I was so disgusted, there were bugs everywhere but my family was on its way. I aimed to be positive; afterall it was a stepping stone, the perfect one to help my family adjust. The first few months were modest but golden. Then in January Joshua got sick while he was still in Michigan...he was supposed to move then. He underwent several surgeries, procedures, TPN feeding, weight loss etc. I wouldn't have moved had I known he was going to struggle so hard. We planned to move together but never planned on his health failing so bad.
Finally in April, many pounds lighter he made it down and we adjusted. Our house was so small, the bugs got worse and the pain got harder. I have done all I could for Josh. The boys and his God Daughter are so thankful to have him here. His health has failed further, he's had several procedures, tests etc. We have done all we could.
My husband worked for the company and saw first hand how poorly they took care of flipping the apartments for those moving in. We live across the street from the dumpster, one where hundreds of mattresses are dumped monthly and left for weeks full of bed bugs. We were told that our apartment was the worst seen before we moved in, the prior tenant lived here 7 years, with 10 cats...not one maitanence call was ever made in that time...
Josh has gotten sicker, his cancer has spread to his stomach, his liver...he's no longer responding to treatment, he's sick, throwing up, unable to eat. They have hooked up a TPN system to him so he can regain nutrients. He is so small and so frail, he can't live here in anymore.
In October we found the perfect house to accomdate us, the illness, the children. We have been in touch with a "Felix Edge" since the beginning of October for this house, it was all legit through Zillow, we went through a rental aggreement, passed the back ground, explained our situation and he was excited to provide a nice home for our family.
We kind of burned ties with our current land lord given the disgusting nature of our place, although we gave a notice before the date of their filing for eviction, we gave proof of our new home etc, the property manager took us to court We have proof of the email sent to the corporate boss stating that we were leaving yet the manager filed an eviction through the court system against us...we have dealt with bed bugs ( that were here before we moved in, said by the exterminator) roaches, fleas from the long grasses in the back yard etc
Yesterday on 11/15 we were supposed to provide a $1400 payment to our new landlord because he lives out of state he asked to go to Walmart. We talked to him all month where we explained the situation with our young kids, Josh etc...he provided so much (FAKE) info ...we ate up every word. we were desperate to get away from the complex.  According to this Felix he lived out of town, so he asked us to go to Walmart, tell him when the payment was there and he would give us the code, the key was supposed  to be on the counter. Lucas went to Clover Walmart and sent the money etc. we heard nothing since. Thanks to some friends I did some research.  The company he posed through doesnt own the property. The actual property who owns it rented it out two days ago and the new tenants are already moving in. If we want to stay here we have to pay the court fee, late fees (even though we were advised by the office not to pay anything until we heard back from our email stating we were leaving so we could have a prorated amount through corporate). We have nowhere to go after this and we need help. Joshua needs Home Health a few times a week. We cant support that from the street. We have a few places available but we gave all we have, The police, Walmart, as well as the Real Estate Agents are on our side... We need help. I hate asking, I am sickened. Please, please share our cause. I cannot have my babies on the street. Please Now the previous property manager here has threatened me with the Police for Fraud though I can show proof of everything I have stated here. We just want to get away from this company, away from the apartment and somewhere clean and safe that we can keep Joshua comfortable and our babies safe.
