My name is Agata, in February 2024, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of cancer that has already spread to distant organs. Over the past 18 months I’ve undergone 45 rounds of different chemotherapies and numerous immunotherapy infusions. I also had my ovaries removed due to BRCA1 gene mutation. For some time I was in partial remission, but unfortunately chemotherapy and immunotherapy stopped working. The last 2 lines of treatments were not successful. Despite my fight, the cancer has progressed again.
After 18 years of working in the UK, I returned to Poland for treatment where I can be close to my family, but I’ve been left without any income. Both UK and Polish institutions have denied my disability benefits and I am still fighting for support. I am determined to keep going.
I am now raising a 10 000 pounds to fund a critical genetic test of my cancer cells which is being conducted in Germany. This test is not currently funded, but it is the best way of testing cancer cells for chemosensitivity. It could identify future, targeted treatments to extend my life. I also would like to use the remaining funds to cover the costs of essential medications and supplements to improve quality of my life, including liver support, hydrogen inhalation therapy, fighting fatigue. These are just some of the monthly costs I face without any financial support.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to me and my family. Your support could help me stay with my son for as long as possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Agatka
