Just 4 days after celebrating my 36th birthday this March, my world was turned upside down. After a series of scans and biopsies at Moffitt Cancer Center, I received the news no one is ever prepared for: I have been diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC).
Because this type of cancer is aggressive and fast-growing, my medical team is moving even faster. My journey will involve months of intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by major surgery and radiation.
Why I’m asking for help:
As many of you know, I am a fighter, but this is not a battle I can win alone. While I am focused on healing, the reality of a Stage 3 diagnosis brings a heavy financial burden that insurance doesn't fully cover. Your support will go directly toward:
Medical Expenses: High deductibles, co-pays, and specialized treatments at Moffitt.
Travel & Care: Gas and tolls for the frequent trips to Tampa for treatment, as well as specialized nutrition to keep my strength up.
Living Costs: Covering bills and essentials during the weeks when treatment side effects make it impossible to work.
Recovery Needs: From medical supplies to the custom wig I’ll need after treatment begins.
How you can help:
If you are able to donate, please know that no amount is too small. If you aren’t in a position to give, please consider sharing this link with your network. Every share, every prayer, and every message of encouragement gives me the strength to keep pushing forward.
I have so much more life to live, and with your help, I can focus 100% of my energy on beating this.
Thank you for being in my corner.
With love and gratitude,
Dani
