Hello friends and family!! I've been battling Lyme disease for the last 10 months and it has gotten worse quickly! Lyme disease is spread to humans by a deer tick. Ticks become infected with an aggressive bacteria, Borrelia burgdorferi, by feeding on animals that carry it in their blood. It only took a few days to get bit as I'd have ticks on me every day after work. Within a day or two, I got really sick! I have never experienced anything like this as it knocked me on my butt very quickly! I had extreme fatigue, sore joints, brain fog, and slurred speech as it affects your central nervous system. I had a red bullseye on the back of my right shoulder. When I went to the doctor for antibiotics, he said, "Yup, you have Lyme disease." I was treated with 3 courses of antibiotics. Lyme Borrelia is often named "the great imitator" as it mimics hundreds of other illnesses. The truth is the leftover bacteria suppress the immune system and make the central nervous system angry or overwhelmed, as my doctor put it, causing all these debilitating symptoms, most of which I have experienced!! All these symptoms are made worse by physical, mental, and emotional challenges in life. Super tough to deal with... I've never cried so much out of nowhere or got what they call "Lyme rage" anger, and it comes and goes. No joke, holy cow!!! I'm now in the process of seeking more holistic treatment at several treatment centers that claim to be 96 percent effective but insurance doesn't cover!! The CDC and insurance companies don't recognize this treatment "that actually works" as an effective method. Huh? They also don't consider chronic Lyme as a legit illness. Hhhmmmm... As a result of having Lyme, I was bedridden for most of June and July last year, and the places I've worked since have been very gracious and understanding, but at the end of the day, they have a business to run, and sometimes I've been absent 2 to 3 days a week. Most recently, I've not been able to work the last 9 weeks. My symptoms have gotten progressively worse!! With all that being said, I am DESPERATELY in need of your help financially and spiritually as I could face possible eviction and loss of transportation. The cost of treatment is between $500 and $1000 for
the first appointment and ranges in the thousands per week. One option I have found is $6000 for the first week, up to 4 weeks. No kidding ..I have to thank you in advance to everybody for the much-needed support and prayers to help me get through this and get back to having a normal life. Words can't express how truly thankful I am for your help!! God bless
