Hi, my name is Lola, and I'm supporting my friend who lives in Nigeria. Here's her story below:
For over 14 years, I’ve been battling Bilateral Nephrolithiasis, kidney stones in both kidneys. Since 2011, I’ve undergone three sessions of lithotripsy in India (2012) and open surgery in Nigeria (2014), but the condition persists.
Currently, I live with constant, debilitating abdominal and back pain caused by multiple kidney stones in both kidneys, including a large staghorn calculus in my right kidney. This has led to Grade 3 hydronephrosis (severe kidney swelling). My left kidney is also smaller in size, adding to the complexity of my condition. Recent medical evaluations confirm that I need urgent surgical intervention to prevent permanent kidney damage.
Doctors have recommended a five-session Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) surgery. The total hospital bill is estimated at #20,000,000 (Twenty Million Naira).
I’m sharing this as an orphan and an only child. I lost my father over a year ago, and my mother less than a year ago. It’s been incredibly tough, but I’m holding on to hope and faith that God will send help through people like you.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward my treatment and could save my life. Please, share this with your friends and family. Your support means everything to me.
Thank you.
