One Life at a Time: Stand With Me Against Human Trafficking
Donation protected
I am deeply honored to have received a partial scholarship to attend the Asia Region Anti-Trafficking (ARAT) Conference 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand this July. This opportunity is a significant milestone in my lifelong mission to combat human trafficking and bring hope to survivors—especially in the Philippines, where my heart and passion lie.
The scholarship generously covers my conference ticket, which includes breakfast and lunch during the three-day event. However, I am still in need of financial support to cover flights, accommodation, and evening meals. Due to the timing and short notice, travel costs are currently very high, making it difficult for me to attend without help.
This is not a vacation—this is a calling.
Eighteen years ago, I volunteered in Thailand, and I return now with even greater purpose. Having traveled to over 60 countries, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing both the beauty and brokenness of our world. I’ve seen the realities of trafficking up close—and I’ve also seen the power of community, learning, and love in action.
My dream is to build safehouses in the Philippines—a country that, heartbreakingly, ranks number one in the world for online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). The Philippines is at the epicenter of this silent crisis, and there is an urgent need for safe, restorative spaces where survivors—especially children—can begin to heal, rebuild, and reclaim their future.
ARAT 2025 is more than just a conference—it's an opportunity to be equipped, encouraged, and connected with like-hearted people who are actively working to dismantle systems of exploitation across Asia. I will be learning directly from organizations on the frontlines, building vital partnerships, and bringing home knowledge that will shape the very foundation of the safehouses I hope to create.
The conference is focused on:
- Strengthening cross-sector partnerships to better fight human trafficking and slavery in Asia
- Understanding regional trends and preparing for the future
- Sharing innovative, proven practices from real-world contexts
- Creating strategies for collaborative, sustainable change
This is a chance to sit at the table with changemakers from across Asia—to listen, learn, and contribute.
If you feel moved, would you consider contributing to my travel fund? Your support, no matter the size, helps bring me one step closer to making this vision a reality. Together, we can help restore dignity, hope, and a future for survivors.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
