Dear kind hearts,

My name is Shelmith Ashley and I am humbly reaching out to you in one of the most painful and vulnerable moments of my life.

I am currently battling severe health challenges that have left me weak, hopeless, and in constant pain. I suffer from chronic and severe ulcers, which often leave me unable to eat or even stand upright due to the intense pain. To make things worse, I have extremely low blood levels, and I urgently need multiple blood transfusions just to keep going.

My body is severely underweight, and the doctors have made it clear that I must follow a nutrient-rich meal plan as prescribed by a hospital nutritionist. But most days, I can’t even afford one proper meal. I feel myself wasting away, not because treatment isn’t available — but because I don’t have the means to afford food or basic care.

As if that’s not enough, I also suffer from kidney failure, which requires regular dialysis — a procedure I can no longer afford. Missing even a single dialysis session puts my life at serious risk. The pain, weakness, and uncertainty are overwhelming.

I am an orphan and currently homeless, trying to survive with nothing but faith and the hope that someone out there might hear my cry for help.

I am asking — from the deepest part of my heart — for any support you can offer to help me afford:

Urgent medical treatment and regular dialysis

Blood transfusions

A daily meal plan to help me gain strength

Shelter to give me a safe place to rest and recover
