I am reaching out with deep humility and strength—as a mother, a woman of Palestinian origin, and someone who has faced an incredibly painful injustice. I am launching this fundraiser to cover the legal costs of appealing a recent court decision that has denied me the right to relocate with my children for work, stability, and vital family support and more importantly a humane way of life. I moved to Quebec for better employment and I reached a dead end last year with tax cuts and as I do not speak French, it became worse. My children are struggling here and I need to secure a better life for them in a place I can establish myself in without language barriers.

Despite being the primary caregiver while suffering immense family abuse and offering a clear plan for a more secure life, the court refused my request to move closer to employment opportunities and to the family who have always supported me and my children. Even more distressing, during the trial, I was subjected to discriminatory remarks targeting my Palestinian and muslim identity and background—remarks claiming my family are extremists because of being Palestinians that were made openly in court and dismissed without acknowledgment. This silence in the face of discrimination is unacceptable, and I cannot let it go unchallenged.

This isn’t just about me—it’s about my children. They are now being separated from the extended family that loves them deeply. They are being denied the consistent, nurturing environment I’ve worked so hard to provide. I am fighting not just for our relocation, but for their right to grow up surrounded by support, love, and stability.

Appealing a court decision is financially overwhelming. Legal fees, transcripts, and representation are costly, and I cannot do this alone. Your support will go directly toward legal expenses to challenge this outcome and advocate for our rights as a family.
