I have cancer. Specifically, adenocarcinoma of the appendix/malignant neoplasm of the appendix. While the appendix was removed (6.7cm in size, which is huge, for an unruptured appendix), the cancer remains, and I'm scheduled for surgery on January 20th, 2025, to resection my intestines/colon to remove any/all tissues, glands, lymph nodes, etc., that may still have cancerous cells (chemo/radiation aren't off the table yet). This has caused me to pause my job hunt, including being unable to take a short-term retail job, because no one will hire someone who's going to be out for surgery & recovery for an indeterminate time.
