Help me fight breast cancer and grow old with my family

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angela. I’m 37 years old and live in Brisbane with my husband Ash and our miracle little boy Archer. I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but right now our family needs help.

If you’d like to know a little more about me, and why we’re asking for support, please read on.

Life has always thrown me a few curveballs, but this year has brought my biggest challenge yet.

In January 2026, I was diagnosed with an invasive, fast-growing breast cancer that has already spread to my local lymph nodes. Over the next 12 months, I will undergo chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, and possibly radiation (the full treatment journey).

It’s been incredibly hard to wrap my head around. I’m a fit, healthy mum with an active toddler. I don’t smoke or drink, I’m mindful of what I put in and on my body, and I try to live a balanced, healthy life. Cancer wasn’t something I ever thought would be part of my story — but here we are.

Looking back, I’ve learned that resilience has quietly been built into my life.
I’ve faced brain surgery for a cavernous haemangioma, survived sepsis that baffled doctors, undergone plastic surgery after a serious cat attack, and was once told I’d never be able to carry a child — before welcoming Archer, our absolute miracle.

These experiences don’t define me, but they have taught me how to keep going when things feel impossible.

Right now, my priority is simple: to be present for my son while I fight this disease.

I work as a contractor, which means that if I don’t work, I don’t get paid. Chemotherapy and immunotherapy are likely to take a heavy toll on my body, and while I’ll do everything I can to stay strong, there will be times when rest isn’t optional, it’s critical.

Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m usually the one supporting others, often at my own expense. But this time, I need to put my pride aside so I can focus on healing and being the best mum I can be.

Your support will help ease the financial pressure during treatment and allow me to rest when my body needs it. Funds raised will go toward:
• Living and household expenses while I’m unable to work
• Medical costs not fully covered
• Medications and supportive therapies
• Complementary treatments like acupuncture, which may help reduce chemotherapy-related side effects such as neuropathy (loosing feeling in fingers and feet).

Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference to our family. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or sending kind words is just as appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your compassion, and for standing beside us during this fight.

With your support, I’m determined to face this challenge head-on, so I can watch Archer grow, be there for every chapter of his life, and grow old alongside Ash, the way we always imagined.

With gratitude and love,
Ange
