A Dream Interrupted But Not Defeated
My name is Uche E, a Nigerian born software developer and recent graduate of a Computer and Information Systems Post Baccalaureate program in British Columbia, Canada.

I came to Canada with a simple dream. I wanted to build a better life through education, honest work, and technology. Like many international students, I left home, sacrificed comfort, and dedicated years to studying and contributing positively to the community around me.

I believed that if I worked hard and followed the rules, I could build a future here.

Today, that future is uncertain.

The Immigration Challenge I Never Expected
After completing my program, I applied for my Post Graduation Work Permit within the required time frame. My application was submitted just 15 days after receiving my completion letter because I wanted to do everything properly.

Nine months later, my application was refused.

Not because I was ineligible.
Not because of fraud or wrongdoing.

It was refused because I failed to attach one document, my IELTS English test result. I already had the document and could have submitted it immediately if I had been asked.

Instead, the application was denied and the long processing time placed me outside the window to apply again.

Almost overnight I lost my ability to legally work and support myself while trying to resolve the situation through reconsideration.

Why I Am Asking For Help
Right now I am pursuing a reconsideration through immigration professionals, but this process can take weeks or months. During this time I cannot legally work in Canada.

Basic expenses such as rent, food, utilities, and legal support continue while my resources slowly run out.

This fundraiser will help cover:
• Immigration reconsideration and professional support
• Essential living expenses while I cannot work
• Technology costs needed to continue developing my projects

The Technology I Am Still Building
Even during this crisis, I have not stopped building.

As a software developer, I am creating tools that help people turn ideas into creative work.

One platform focuses on text to video technology so teachers, creators, and storytellers can generate videos from simple written prompts.

Another platform helps people create structured books from ideas, opening the door for anyone with knowledge or stories to share.

These projects reflect my passion for innovation, education, and accessible technology.

A Small Bridge Can Change Everything
Please, I am asking for a bridge during one of the most difficult moments of my life.

If you can support this GoFundMe with any contribution, you will be helping an international graduate stay afloat while resolving an immigration challenge and continuing to build meaningful technology.

If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign would mean just as much.

Your support can give me something incredibly valuable right now.
• Time to resolve this situation
• Time to keep building
• Time to keep hope alive
