Hi everyone — we wanted to share an update with all of you who donated, shared, and supported Ashlyn through this stressful situation.
We did not reach our full goal, and honestly, we are completely exhausted from the fundraising process and having to fight to get her car fixed. But we want you to know that something unexpected happened:
Insurance finally stepped in and paid to get Ashlyn’s car out of the tow yard.
This lifted a huge burden off all of us, and we are incredibly grateful.
Because of your generosity, we raised $400, and none of it will go to waste. We will be using the funds to pay for:
Her car tags and taxes
Any small fees needed to get her back on the road legally and safely
These are things she would’ve struggled with on her own, and your support is making that possible.
Even though the fundraiser didn’t go as far as we hoped, every single donation made a real difference. You helped relieve pressure during a chaotic time and gave Ashlyn a chance to move forward.
Thank you for caring. Thank you for giving. And thank you for lifting her up when she needed it most. ❤️
If you have any questions about how the funds are being used, we’re happy to be transparent.
With love and gratitude,
Our family & Ashlyn
On November 7, 2025, 18-year-old Ashlyn was involved in a car accident in her high school parking lot when another driver backed into her vehicle. Because the accident happened on school property, no ticket was issued—and now the insurance companies are refusing to pay.
Ashlyn only had liability insurance, which means her policy won’t cover her damages. The other driver’s insurance is pushing back as well, claiming they need more time to “investigate.” Meanwhile, her car—her only way to get to work, school, and everyday life—has been sitting in a tow yard.
The tow yard is charging $80 per day, every day, including weekends and holidays.
What should have happened is someone towing the car to a friend’s driveway or a safe location to avoid fees. Instead, due to decisions outside of Ashlyn’s control, the car went straight to a storage facility, and the bill is growing to the point that it’s becoming impossible for us to help her recover it.
Ashlyn has faced more challenges than most teenagers her age. On top of losing her car, she has been staying with us while looking for permanent housing. We are doing everything we can to support her, but the tow bill is more than we can take on alone.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Ashlyn is a hardworking young woman who’s doing everything right in a really unfair situation. She has a job, she goes to school, and she’s trying to build a stable life for herself despite not having the family support most teenagers do.
This car is her lifeline. Without it:
She can’t get to work
She can’t finish school easily
She can’t save money
She can’t move toward independence
Insurance may eventually help, but we’ve been told repeatedly that nothing is guaranteed, and by the time anything is resolved, the storage fees alone could exceed the value of the vehicle. (At which time, the tow company will ask us to sign the car over to them to pay for their fees.)
We are praying for a miracle, but at this point, the only way to keep Ashlyn from losing everything is to raise the money to get her car released before the tow yard sells it.
What the Funds Will Cover
Tow yard storage fees (currently growing at $80/day)
Tow-out fee
Any basic repairs needed to make the car drivable
Emergency transportation for work/school if repairs take time
Every Dollar Helps More Than You Know
If you can donate anything—even a few dollars—it will go directly toward helping a young woman who has been through more than most adults. And if you can’t donate, please share this campaign so it reaches more people.
Ashlyn deserves stability. She deserves safety. And right now, she needs her community.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, sharing, donating, and caring.
Your kindness truly means everything.
