From the time that I was young, I knew I was different. I may not have always had the words but I hated wearing "feminine" clothes and I hated being received by the world as female. I said things like, "When I wear girls clothes, I feel like I'm cross dressing." I'd ask my partners to call me their boyfriend but I thought I was just weird. Then I learned what being transgender meant and I learned that I didn't have to stay stuck in the vessel I was born in. I had keyhole surgery (top surgery) in December of 2016 which I am very thankful for but have since struggled with severe bottom dysphoria.
I never put myself as a priority, I told myself I didn't deserve the surgery or that other things were more pressing. I have finally decided to make this a priority for me. I would like to have bottom surgery as soon as I can. I am choosing to go with full phalloplasty with testicles. I will also be having a hysterectomy done. The surgery will allow me to stand to pee as well as just relieve my dysphoria. I will finally be able to feel at home in my body. The starting costs for this surgery are about $10,000 and I don't feel comfortable moving forward speaking with a surgeon again (I had one consult just a couple months ago) until I have at least some of the funds saved up.
