Help Me Feel at Home in My Body – Support My Top Surgery
Donation protected
Hello! I’m Nate, im a 23 year old trans man from Stoke, and I’m raising funds for private top surgery because, unfortunately, the chest I was given at birth came without a returns policy.
Living with chest dysphoria has been a persistent and exhausting part of my life. Top surgery isn’t just something I’d like, it’s something I need in order to live more comfortably, confidently, and without constantly wanting to unzip myself and step out.
The NHS is doing its best, but the waiting times for gender-affirming surgery are currently so long I could probably knit myself a new torso before getting a surgery date. So, I’ve decided to pursue private care, a decision that offers a shorter timeline but comes with a rather hefty price.
The total cost includes the surgery itself, consultations, travel, and all the glamorous bits like post-op binders and painkillers. I’m doing what I can to save, but I’ll be honest, unless I win the lottery or discover a long-lost wealthy relative, I can’t do it alone.
I’ve been through quite a lot to get to this point. I’ve been independent since I was 15 navigating life, bills, housing, and my transition largely on my own. It’s taken a lot of strength, stubbornness, and late-nights to keep going, but I’ve made it this far and I’m proud of that. That said, top surgery is a mountain I can’t climb alone.
If you can contribute, whether it’s the cost of a double vodka coke, a pint, or whatever you were about to impulse-buy, I’d be incredibly grateful. If not, sharing this page or sending a kind word still means the world to me.
If you’ve taken the time to read this, thank you. Your support, whether it’s a donation, a share, or just showing up
means I’m not doing this alone. That makes all the difference. Thank you for helping me move closer to a future where I can finally breathe easy, literally and figuratively.
With sincere thanks <3
