Hi friends and family,

I’m excited to share that I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in New Zealand from December 26, 2025, to January 16, 2026! I’ll be taking a sociology course called Gender, Sex, and Society, a required class for my degree.

As a first-gen college student, I’ve tried to center my college journey around stepping into spaces that no one in my family has before. Studying abroad is one of those spaces. I want to experience the world beyond my familiar surroundings, gain a deeper understanding of people, cultures, and societies, and challenge my worldview in ways a classroom alone cannot provide.

To make this dream possible, I need help covering tuition, airfare, passport and visa fees, and living expenses including food and housing while I’m in New Zealand. Any contribution, big or small, will bring me closer to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
