Hello, all! I'm Elizabeth C Cruz, a 37-year-old woman who recently discovered an unwanted tenant in my body. In early August 2024, I was diagnosed with a benign tumor that's overstayed its welcome. Unfortunately, this squatter has chosen prime real estate, leaving me with no choice but to serve an eviction notice to my entire uterus.
On November 5, 2024, I'll be undergoing a hysterectomy to show this tumor who's boss. While I'm excited about the prospect of a rent-free body, the procedure comes with a hefty price tag. I'm aiming to raise $8,000 by October 21, 2024, to cover the surgery and any surprise expenses that might pop up along the way.
Once I evict this pesky tumor, I’ll be looking at a recovery period of approximately 6-8 weeks. During this time, I won’t be able to work, which means my finances will take a hit while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet. Your support will help bridge that gap and keep me afloat during my recovery.
While I'm trying to keep things light-hearted, this surgery is a significant event in my life. Your support, whether financial or through positive thoughts and prayers, means the world to me. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease this burden and allow me to focus on recovery. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
