I’m writing this to you in a time of great urgency and need. We started this campaign to raise money for my family in Gaza. They are currently living in a tent by the side of the road without a shelter, food, clean water, or warm clothing after their apartment was completely destroyed.
Your donation will help fund the following:
- Emergency support: 5000$ for immediate relief fund such as food, clothing, and shelter.
- Permit and border crossing fees: 27000$. This amount comes to $9,000 per person just to cross the border to Egypt.
- College Fees: 3000$ So that our brother can complete his last semester of college.
- Transaction fees: Approximately 1500$. Gofundme charges 2.9% + $0.30 per donation.

About Me: My name is Samah Salem, a I was born and raised in Gaza, Palestine. I have already lived through four wars, and I am still recovering from the horror of what I saw in my childhood.
However, I had the incredible opportunity to secure a scholarship abroad. Unfortunately, my twin brother Ahmed was not as fortunate and couldn't join me..
Ahmed (my twin brother) is still in Gaza with my family. The reality, as we are all aware, is that Gaza is currently facing a horrifying and tragic genocide. My family is trapped there, facing unimaginable circumstances.
In the photo below, you'll see our apartment on the second floor of the middle building, where my family and I resided for many years. Sadly, it's now completely destroyed, and along with it, all our childhood memories have been lost.
Leaving them in a tent without shelter, electricity, food, clean water, or even warm clothes. Here are some photos taken by my brother of the inside and outside the tent.
The tent is literally on the side of the road. Please watch this short video which was filmed by my brother to give you a real and true picture of the situation.
Their safety is uncertain; there is no such a safe place in Gaza, and I can't wait to see them again after being apart for nearly five years.
An Urgent Plea For Help
I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign (with the help of my older brother Wael) with a desperate plea to evacuate my family from Gaza.
The situation there is dire, and I fear for their lives every second. With your kind contributions, I can raise the necessary funds to facilitate their evacuation to cross the border to Egypt.
In addition, we have lost these beautiful family members, a very spoiled cat, Beso, and her kittens..
