hello, my name is yara. i am a trans woman living in egypt where I am not legally recognized and where my safety is at constant risk.

despite fully transitioning and living openly as the woman i am, my government refuses to acknowledge my identity. ive faced legal challenges, discrimination, physical assault, and ongoing threats to my freedom and wellbeing where i face mens prison should i not act fast.

it has now reached the point that i am being pushed to detransition by the government or else i face persecution in mens prison here.

i have no option left but to leave my country in order to ensure my safety and life and i need to raise $8k for

• legal fees and documentation

• transportation expenses

i have the window of till 2 weeks

i am forced to fundraise as i have no money due to not having a job due to my documents still being unchanged

this is about my livelihood and safety now, not only can i not live freely but i will be horrifically punished for my existence if i stick around.
