Hi my name is Erin and this July, I will be travelling to Zambia for 8 weeks to volunteer as a Football Development Officer with the volunteer programme run by the Wallace Group, a partnership of seven UK universities, in collaboration with Sport in Action in Zambia. Where my main aim will be working with young girls who are using sport as a pathway to confidence, education, and opportunity.

Football is more than just a game. In many communities, it is a powerful tool for empowerment, leadership, and change. For the girls I’ll be working with, stepping onto a football pitch can mean finding their voice, building self-belief, and learning life skills that go far beyond sport.

Opportunities like this are not easily accessible, and the programme relies heavily on volunteers. To make this journey possible, I need to raise £2,000, which will cover essential costs such as travel, accommodation, training, and programme support.

Every donation — no matter the size — will help make a real difference. You won’t just be funding my trip; you’ll be investing in young girls, in their confidence, and in their futures.

I’m incredibly passionate about using football as a force for good, and I would be so grateful for your support in helping me turn this opportunity into lasting impact.

Thank you for reading, sharing, donating, and believing in the power of sport to change lives ⚽️
