Hello friends, family, and supporters,
I am thrilled to share an incredible opportunity: from May 1st to 14th, I will be traveling to Uganda to work with the Watoto Sports Academy in the Watoto Village. This trip is not just a journey; it’s a chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of young athletes while sharing my passions for sports, fitness, and faith.
At the Watoto Sports Academy, our mission is to introduce a strength and conditioning program tailored to their basketball and soccer teams. This program will help the athletes improve their performance while focusing on injury prevention and rehabilitation. Drawing from my years of experience as a soccer player, including playing for the Sheridan College team, my human kinetics degree from the University of Guelph, and my training as a third-year Athletic Therapy student, I am eager to share practical knowledge and skills that will benefit these young athletes for years to come.
Beyond sports, this trip is an opportunity to share the Word of God and encourage these athletes in their faith. We also plan to bring much-needed supplies for the teams, ensuring they have the tools and resources to thrive on and off the field.
This is where I need your help! The costs of travel, supplies, and accommodations add up, and your support will make this dream a reality. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing this page, or lifting this mission in prayer, every contribution helps.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Your generosity and encouragement mean the world, and I can’t wait to share the stories and impact this trip will create!
With gratitude,
Alyssa Morris (B.Sc.)
