Help me Empower Afghan Girls

Donation protected
Dear friends,
Watan Dual Education is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the state of New York. It is dedicated to empowering girls in Afghanistan through vocational training. Our mission at Watan Dual Education is to provide young women with the skills and knowledge they need to create a brighter future for themselves and their families/communities.

In Afghanistan, girls face numerous challenges in accessing education and economic opportunities. They are deprived of this basic human right. Many are unable to pursue their dreams due to limited resources and social barriers. According to Human Rights Watch, "Women and girls are disproportionately affected by the crisis and face greater obstacles to obtaining food, health care, and financial resources. Taliban policies barring women from most paid jobs made the situation worse, especially for households in which women were the sole or main wage earners. Where the Taliban has allowed women to work, doing so was rendered almost impossible by oppressive requirements such as having a male family member escort women to work and even remain there throughout the workday.

World Food Program surveys revealed that for most of 2022, nearly 100 percent of female-headed households lacked adequate food and almost all are taking “drastic measures” to obtain it, including selling vital household items, sending children to work, or marrying off young girls for dowry."

At Watan Dual Education, we believe that education and vocational training can be transformative, breaking the cycle of poverty and unlocking a world of possibilities. Our focus is on offering vocational courses that equip girls with practical skills in the clothing industry. Through our comprehensive 3-month programs, we will teach them skills such as tailoring, embroidery, jewelry making, and handicrafts. Through hands-on training and classroom learning, we will equip each student with the necessary expertise to excel in their chosen trade.

But our commitment to these girls goes beyond the classroom. We aim to empower them to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs and leaders. To achieve this, we provide specialized courses that teach them the fundamentals of running a successful business, including customer service, promotion, and networking.

The funds will go towards buying the materials, equipment, electricity bills, transportation, meals, and registration fees.

With your support, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these young girls. By contributing to Watan Dual Education, you are helping us provide quality education, training materials, and resources for our students. Your donation will directly fund the purchase of equipment, educational materials, electricity bills, transportation, meals for the students, and registration fees.

Together, we can break down the barriers that hold back these talented young women and empower them to shape their destinies. Your generosity can make a real difference.

Thank you for being a part of Watan Dual Education's journey toward empowering Afghan girls through vocational education. Please donate today and share this campaign with your friends and family.

Your support is truly appreciated.

With gratitude,
Watan Dual Education
