I’ve been working hard to prepare for an upcoming dance competition, but recently I’ve run into some unexpected challenges. Due to health issues, I had to back out of a couple shows I was going to work, and my hours at the restaurant are shorter because of the slow season. Now I’m short of paying off my rental, and the competition is next week.

This competition is especially meaningful to me because it marks my first time returning to Texas since I was born there. More than anything, I want to represent where I came from and where I ended up, in the place where it all began. I’m also the only performer from Vermont, and I really want to show everyone what we’re about.
