**It all started in my kitchen in Sweden**
Two years ago, I was standing in my kitchen when I heard a voice inside me say: **“Inka. Peru.”** ✨
I am a tarot reader and speak with angels every day . I traveled without fully understanding why – but soon I realized: **Inka in Peru was my first rescue dog**. A tiny 5-month-old puppy, abandoned on the streets, who needed me. ❤️
**Meeting more rescue dogs**
Along the way in Peru, I met more dogs who needed help:
**Blümchen**
**Inti**
**Lycka**
**Moon**
All abandoned and in desperate need of a loving home. Together, we began a journey filled with **love, care, and hope**.
**From a Tough Start to New Opportunities – Thanks to You!**
Almost everyone has told me I should give up. But deep in my heart, I have always felt that this is my path – and now, thanks to incredibly generous donors, everything is finally falling into place.
After a long and difficult time for me and my five dogs, we finally have the chance to start over – and **we are moving to our new place this Sunday, April 5th!**
Until now, our current place has been extremely challenging: **no clean water, no hot showers, and no kitchen**, which even made me very sick. But the new home is safe, comfortable, and only **four minutes from the center of Ollantaytambo** – perfect for both us and the dogs.
Our hostel is still very small – we only have **one room for now**. But this is the beginning of a bigger dream: a home where we can **run a sustainable business while also rescuing more dogs and giving them safety and care** An **extra room that I can start renting to tourists visiting Machu Picchu**, which will help fund our growth and future rescue efforts.
---
**Why Ollantaytambo is the Perfect Location**
Ollantaytambo is in the Sacred Valley, a central stop on the route to Machu Picchu. The town is famous for its **well-preserved Inca ruins** and charming streets. Tourists pass through here all year, creating a strong demand for **comfortable, affordable, and welcoming accommodations**.
* **Strategic location:** Only 90 minutes by train from Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu.
* **Small but lively:** Personal and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a small hostel.
* **High demand for lodging:** Visitors are looking for places to stay before or after Machu Picchu.
* **Immediate rental potential:** The extra room allows instant income while building the business sustainably.
---
**We’ve Already Reached Our Goal – and More!**
Our original goal was **5,000 SEK for the rent**, and thanks to your amazing support, we have now raised **over 10,000 SEK**! This means we can not only move in but also make the place functional and comfortable with **WiFi, a washing machine, and a fridge**, ensuring both guests and dogs have what they need.
---
**Why We’re Raising the Goal to 15,000 SEK**
Now we want to take the next step and raise the goal by an additional **5,000 SEK, bringing the total to 15,000 SEK**. These funds will be used to:
* Make the small hostel even more **comfortable and functional for guests**
* Prepare us to **welcome more dogs**, ensuring their safety and care
* Ensure that our start is **sustainable**, so we can continue building more rooms and future hostels
Every contribution becomes even more meaningful – it helps us create a **home that works in practice**, where no one is missing anything, whether it’s guests or dogs, while we continue pursuing the dream of rescuing more animals.

✨ **Your Support Makes a Difference**
By supporting us, you become part of a journey from a **tough little start to a sustainable, heartfelt business**. Together, we are creating a place where both people and dogs can feel **safety, love, and care**.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ – every donation, big or small, helps us make this dream a reality.
Love,
Mariah and the doggas
