Help me with my expenses while I heal from surgery

Hello my name is Matty I am a free spirited gypsy soul, long haul truck driver. I work extremely long hours and very hard. I am away for long periods of time. It is a very solitary lifestyle, just my dog Nova and I on the road for weeks at a time.

In February I will be turning 50 years old and my adventurous soul is having a hard time coming to terms with this. I was in a place where I wanted a challenge. And my need for camaraderie and the fellowship of likeminded men who also want to go on adventures and experience a part of life that might be missing could be fulfilled by a group of motorbike enthusiasts.

So I joined a motorbike expedition club and started to plan my big adventure. During my trip to Namibia Africa while out on one of our daily rides. I was injured from a high speed collision with another rider. I suffered the brunt of the impact and shattered my clavicle and bruised my body. Due to the training of the team and there combined knowledge of first aid. I was quickly evacuated from our remote location to a local hospital when I was examined. Upon returning to my home country Canada I received the news I would need surgery asap to put the bones back in place with plates and screws. Then I can start the healing process. I am going into surgery this Sunday January 28th. The orthopaedic surgeon says it will be a minimum 4 months recovery till I am able to do any heavy lifting and arms above my head lifting.

Times are tough for so many people right now. And I feel foolish even putting my troubles out there. This is hard for me to do. It’s hard for me to ask for help of any kind. Asking for help is a challenge for me. But I have been encouraged to start this Go Fund Me as my job is very physical, and is not an option while this injury heals

Any money raised or donated will go towards my monthly bills and living expenses while I recover from this injury. I greatly appreciate any support of any kind. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
