I am fundraising to help me cover the cost for my upcoming back surgery. I currently do not have any insurance and even with the hospital giving me self pay discounts the cost still exceeds what I am able to come up with.

Here’s my story…..

For those of you that don’t know, while at a show choir rehearsal in 2016, I through my back out. At that time I spent some time in the hospital and found out that I had a herniated disc. The disc was not herniated enough for me to need surgery at that time. I did about 8-10 weeks of physical therapy which help improve things and I was able to go on about life. The end of 2020 things again began to start to flare up. I decided that I would try going to a chiropractor to see if that would help improve anything. I did feel somewhat better after going but was still having the issues in my lower back and right leg. I kept on pushing through the pain and trying different methods at home like a tens unit, massage gun etc. to help elevate any pain that I was having but had no real improvement. Then a couple weeks ago I began to notice that I was having trouble getting out of bed, sitting or standing for long periods of time was getting unbearable and that my right leg was going completely numb at points through out the day. That is when I made the decision to see a neurosurgeon, I kept putting it off and pushing through the pain because I don’t have insurance and stress out about how am I going to pay for all of these doctors visits. Everything has a limit and two weeks ago was mine. I’ve meet with the neurosurgeon twice and they are recommended that I have surgery next week on 2 of the 3 herniated disc that I have that is making me have no reflexes in my right knee, ankle and foot. I am putting my faith in God that with this surgery I will be able to get back to enjoying life and not be confide to my bed because that was the only place I was not in pain. Also, believe that God has his hand in everything and will help bring me peace with the financial aspect of this situation.
