Hi, as many of you know, my boyfriend and I have just moved from Alaska, leaving our jobs and insurance behind to go see a few cities in the US to find out which place fits us best. We eventually decided on Boise, ID. The roadtrip was long and in order to do it I had to take a gap in my insurance coverage and during this time, I had a medical emergency which resulted in 2 ER visits and an emergency surgery on my uterus.

Fortunately the hospital I visited offered a discount program that took my medical bill from over $25,000 down to $6800. I am very grateful. Unfortunately I have exhausted most of my savings, we still haven't found jobs in Boise and were denied unemployment benefits because we left our jobs voluntarily.

I realize that I am luckier than most. My emergency was the scariest medical experience I've ever had, but I thankfully will make a full recovery.

With bills looming and my body still healing, I ask if anyone can donate even a few dollars to my remaining medical bills and our moving costs.
