While trying to do the next right thing for everyone else, I was ignoring health warning signs with myself till they literally blew up. In November, I had an abscess/infection in my large intestine pop. It spread the infection throughout my digestive tract. After a week in the hospital and a couple of weeks of intensive antibiotics, I went back to work only to have a new pain in my gut. I finished painting some race car parts at noon, had a medical consultation at 1:30, and at 2:00, I was back in the hospital. A CAT scan, enhanced MRI, and a colonoscopy found what they thought to be a small tumor of about 60 mm. It turned out to be a larger-than-softball-sized mass that took seven hours of surgery to remove. I had that done on Dec. 20 along with parts of my intestines and colon. I physically can't lift or do much, and my wallet is getting thin. I need help paying my phone, internet, electric, heat, and taxes, etc., until I can go back to work. Ironically, the insurance I got this year that's helping with my medical bills is going to leave me owing the IRS a fair amount.
