Hello,

My name is Nile X, (@artistnile) — I’m a painter and designer based in Toronto. I’ve recently taken a big step toward a lifelong dream: I bought a school bus that I’m converting into a mobile art studio.

My vision is to convert this bus into a moving creative space, an art studio and residence. It will allow me to travel, create, and bring art into new communities and cities across North America. I want to take my work outside a typical studio and galleries and into public spaces, meeting people where they are and making art more accessible.

What I intend to do.

The bus needs a full conversion, including:

Insulation and flooring

Solar power and electrical setup

A small kitchen and water system

A restroom and rest area

A functional art workspace where I can paint, design textiles, and showcase my work on the road

This project is about freedom, creativity, and connection building a life that moves with my art and bring it to new places and communities.
