Hi, my name is Alishba, and I am an international student studying in London.

Leaving my home country to pursue higher education was one of the hardest and bravest decisions I’ve ever made. I came here with big dreams, believing that through hard work and determination, I could build a better future for myself. I have tried to carry that belief with me every day.

Alongside my studies, I work in hospitality to support myself. Every shift helps me cover rent, food, and basic living expenses. Unfortunately, due to ongoing hardships and rifts within my family, I do not have any financial support from home. I am completely responsible for funding my education and living costs on my own.

Despite working as much as I can while studying, I am now struggling to keep up with my university tuition fees. My tuition is £2,330 per month from February to June, and my first payment is due on 14 February. Right now, I’m facing the very real possibility of having to pause or lose my education not because of a lack of effort, but because I simply cannot afford it alone.

Creating this fundraiser was not an easy decision. Asking for help is deeply difficult for me, but my education means everything. It represents my independence, my resilience, and my hope for a better future. I don’t want my journey to end here after coming so far.
