HELP ME CONTINUE MY FIGHT AGAINST NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER

Hi, my name is Nathalie Donis, and I am a proud mother of three daughters—ages 21, 18, and 2. Life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer, a rare and incurable disease. I recently underwent a major surgery that removed 40% of my stomach and the head of my pancreas, but due to complications, not all of the cancer could be removed. I also have a deep tumor in my liver that was inoperable.

To keep fighting, I am on a rigorous chemotherapy regimen for two weeks every month, along with a Lanreotide injection to help slow tumor growth. This treatment is critical, as my cancer cannot be cured—only managed to prevent further spreading.

As I was recovering, I faced another challenge: I lost my job, which meant I had to pay for COBRA insurance entirely out of pocket. Thankfully, I have since found a new job with health coverage, but I must meet a $10,000 deductible before my insurance begins to help. In addition, I owe $96,000 to the medical facility providing my treatment, and they are requiring a substantial payment before I can continue receiving care.

It’s heartbreaking to think that at 37 years old, I have to start saving money for my own funeral just to ensure that expense doesn’t fall on my daughters—but how can I? My only focus right now is fighting this battle so I can be here for them. The cost of my treatment is overwhelming, and I need help to continue fighting.

I never imagined myself in a position where I would have to ask for help, but I need to continue my chemo treatments to keep my tumors from growing. My daughters need their mother, and I am determined to fight for as much time as possible with them.
