Help Me Continue My Education: Support My Master’s Journey

Hello friends and family!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: I've been accepted into the M.A. program for Communications, Entertainment and Tourism at Cal State Fullerton! After a few years away from the classroom, I couldn’t be more excited to be going back. I’ve always loved learning, and I’m beyond ready to take this next step in my educational journey.

But here’s the catch: despite being accepted, I was recently informed that I do not qualify for any financial aid this year. That leaves me facing a large bill for tuition, books, transportation and other school supplies.

I’m doing everything I can to avoid starting this next chapter of my life under a mountain of debt and stress. So instead of waiting until things the bills start piling up, I’m doing my best to get ahead of the game and be proactive, resourceful, and resilient, traits I’ve leaned on a lot in recent years.

For the past two years, I’ve been commuting from Fontana to Irvine to work as the Communications and Development Coordinator for RAD Camp , a nonprofit that hosts overnight summer camps for children, teens and adults with disabilities. Before going full-time, I worked as an after-school musical theater teacher for elementary school students in San Bernardino. That experience lit a fire in me and I found what I truly believe is my life’s calling: bringing theater into communities.

Those who know me know that musical theater is the biggest passion in my life. It’s more than something I like to watch or listen to, it’s what gives me purpose, energy and brings me so much joy. It’s also what guided me to pursue a career in communications and now, a master’s degree in entertainment. I chose this specific program because I want to be part of the movement to keep the arts alive in education, to make theater accessible to all communities and to advocate for the power of storytelling and performance.

I also chose CSUF knowing it was going to be a financial challenge, but one worth taking on. With 33% of employers now seeking applicants with master’s degrees for roles that once only required a bachelor’s, higher education is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity!

If you’re able to donate $5, $10 or anything you can give, know that your contribution will 100% go directly toward my education. I’m happy to provide receipts, pricing breakdowns, updates and for you top-tier donors, a front-row seat to my graduation in two years (wink wink).

Thank you for reading, for supporting and for believing in me. If you have any questions or want to chat more about my journey, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m grateful for every word of encouragement and every act of generosity.

May God bless you, and may He give you even more in return.

With love and everlasting gratitude,
Ana Victoria
