All funds will go to my friend’s account whom I trust (that's me, the one running the fundraiser!). Because I am a minor and not financially independent, he has the ability to monitor funds safely without them being compromised. This is safer than going to my account directly. He will be able to send me money, cover for transportation fees (traveling to a state with better protection), and other inconveniences that come with traveling. Everything for the trip is accounted for for — shelter, how I’ll be eating, what I have and what I’ll do when I get there. However, I do not have the money necessary in order to travel. There are numerous hurdles I must jump through in order to continue my education and finish high school, all which involve money to some degree. I have hopes, dreams, and a career I intend to pursue. This isn’t possible with my current living situation. This is where donors, like you, come in handy. I’m not asking for a lot. Five dollars goes a long way, longer than you could imagine. Share the campaign, do whatever you can! This is not something that’s optional for me, it’s life or death.
Half a year ago, I made the mistake of coming out to my parents as transgender. I recognize now that I should’ve been more cautious, but I never believed they would be incentivized to kick me out. That’s changed. My deadline to get my license and leave is June, and after that, I cannot guarantee my safety in my current household. My entire family is conservative, therefore I have no one to rely on. I’ve tried everything. Convincing them, telling them of my struggles and medical care that is lifesaving to me. However, you can’t help someone’s mindset. I’ve been working odd jobs nonstop in order to gather money, but it is not nearly enough to make sure I am safe and won’t be in danger through my journey.

The extra funds that this campaign will include is for emergencies. I do not want to be low on money in an unknown, unfamiliar state without a means to work or a school I’m enrolled in.
Q: What will you do after you reach your goal?
Currently, I am making arrangements and looking at bus tickets, travel fees, and things like buying a new phone that is not connected to my family. After the goal is reached, I will be unable to tell you the specific date of when I am leaving, but I will inform you on my TikTok of how soon it is. I cannot guarantee 24/7 updates until I reach my destination, but rest assured, your money will not disappear into the abyss.
