A life without my backbone

Hello guys, my name is Derthi Nemani. 

I heard the news I always dreaded; my dad passed away yesterday, on May 3rd, 2021. The past year hasn't really been great for us, like for most of us. The pandemic has not only made an impact on our money situation, but also made an impact on our mental state. We lost my grandfather a month ago, and we used what little savings we had to travel to India and carry out the last rites. Currently we are left with absolutely nothing but broken hearts. We feel deserted and lost in thought as we are unsure about our future. My mother is shocked to hear this news and does not know how to go forward and deal with this. My brother Rithik(14), and my younger brother(7) are aware of the news, but don't understand the gravity of the situation. To say that I'm overwhelmed with sadness would be a huge understatement. With a mortgage, a car loan, and my student loan to pay for, I am incapable to bear the financial responsibility and am looking for a ray of hope to help and my family out financially as we hope to recover emotionally. I urge everyone to understand our situation and empathize for us. I call for everyone to donate as much as you can afford to, even the little amounts give us the support. I thank everyone that has helped us until now, and I thank everyone else that can be of help to us.
