My name is Mayamiko Bismarck, and I am an international student from Malawi currently pursuing my MBA in Business Analysis at Georgia State University. I graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Data Analytics.
Before attending Furman, I attended UWC ISAK Japan, an experience that completely changed the way I viewed the world and my place in it. Being surrounded by students from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds inspired me to dream bigger and believe that someone like me could create a meaningful impact on a global scale. I later attended Furman University on a full scholarship, an achievement that represented years of discipline, sacrifice, and determination.
I have always been deeply ambitious and driven by the belief that education can transform lives. Throughout my journey, I have pushed myself to pursue opportunities that would allow me to grow personally, professionally, and academically. From leadership roles and internships to graduate assistantships and professional development experiences, I have consistently worked to build a future where I can use business, technology, and analytics to create opportunities for underserved communities and help others access pathways that once felt impossible to me.
Coming to the United States to pursue higher education has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, but it has also come with challenges. As an international student, balancing academics, finances, work responsibilities, and life far away from home has required resilience and adaptability. Even through uncertainty, I have remained hopeful and committed to my goals.
I currently work as a Graduate Administrative Assistant while completing my MBA, balancing coursework, leadership responsibilities, networking opportunities, and career preparation as I work toward graduating this December. Along the way, I have done everything I can to continue funding my education through scholarships, assistantships, loans, and personal effort.
Today, I am raising funds to help cover the remaining cost of my final semesters:
• Summer 2026 Tuition Balance: $6,783
• Fall 2026 Tuition Balance: $9,025
These funds will help me complete the final stretch of my MBA journey and graduate this December.
This fundraiser is not just about tuition. It is about investing in years of hard work, perseverance, and a vision that continues to push me forward. I truly believe that the opportunities I have been given through education come with a responsibility to make an impact on others, and I am committed to doing exactly that.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring me one step closer to the finish line. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser or keeping me in your thoughts and prayers would also mean a great deal to me.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting my journey, and being part of this chapter of my story.
