Hey everyone,

I normally don’t do things like this, but I wanted to share something important happening in my life.

Recently, I was accepted into the Script Supervisors Training & Apprenticeship Program (SSTAP) through IATSE Local 871. It’s an intensive 8-month training and apprenticeship program that prepares Script Supervisors for professional work in film and television production.

Since I was a teenager, I’ve been slowly building toward this moment while balancing work, being a dad, working on independent film sets, and developing my craft.

Cinema has always been the center of my life, and Script Supervision has become the best path forward to continue working in this business. I love the responsibility of helping protect the story on set. The details, the continuity, the communication, the organization, the collaboration. It genuinely feels like where I’m supposed to be.

This next chapter is exciting, but it’s also expensive.

Throughout the 8 months of training and apprenticeship work, I’ll need professional supplies, workflow tools, technology, storage, organizational materials, and on-set equipment that Script Supervisors rely on during both classroom instruction and production environments.

I’ve already started building my kit and gaining experience on independent productions, but I’m asking for help to ease the financial pressure of preparing for this opportunity the right way.
