For many years now, the UK has been my home. It’s where my family and I live, where we serve, and where we’ve invested our lives, particularly through our work in the local church and wider community. Becoming a UK citizen is the final step in securing long-term stability and allowing us to continue this work with confidence and peace of mind.
Although I’ve been entitled to UK citizenship for several years, the costs involved are extraordinarily high. Despite working consistently, through my church role, which is deeply important to me, alongside Nicky’s work, we have never been able to save enough to cover the full cost of the application and its associated fees.
In recent months, upcoming changes in UK immigration legislation have added real pressure to move forward sooner rather than later. Delaying further could mean increased costs or more complex requirements. After much reflection, prayer, and encouragement from close friends and family, I’ve decided to ask for help.
What the funds will be used for
All funds raised will go directly toward:
• UK citizenship application fees
• Mandatory associated costs required to submit the application
This is a significant upfront expense that we’re unable to manage on our own.
Our goal & deadline
Our goal is to raise £2,000, which represents a substantial portion of the total cost.
We are aiming to submit the application by 31 March, in order to proceed within the current legal framework and avoid further complications or delays.
How you can help
If you feel able to contribute, any amount, large or small, would make a genuine difference. If giving financially isn’t possible, sharing this page or offering encouragement and prayers means just as much to us.
Asking for support like this doesn’t come easily, but we are deeply grateful for the community around us and for anyone who feels led to help us take this important step.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for walking alongside us in whatever way you can.
With sincere gratitude,
Jean
