Hi, I’m Ola, a Social Work student building The Shelter Foundation Initiative, an organisation focused on child protection and inclusive development.

Right now, I’m in my placement year at Solent University, working on the frontline of social care. Alongside this, I’ve been developing a project called Reflect Before Refer; a practice innovation model designed to help professionals make more thoughtful, informed safeguarding decisions for vulnerable children.

This work is deeply personal to me, and it reflects the kind of impact I want to make in social work long-term.

I’m now very close to completing my degree but I’m facing a £3,000 tuition shortfall, with a deadline of May 14.

Despite doing everything I can to fund my studies, I haven’t been able to raise the full amount in time. Without this payment, I risk losing my place on the programme at a critical stage.

This is why I’m asking for help.
