Hi, I’m Mary-Ann. I’m the youngest child of a single mother who has done everything she could to support me. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to cover the cost of completing my education, and right now I need help.

A year ago, I had to leave European University Cyprus, where I was studying Biomedical Science, because I could no longer afford my tuition fees. I also had an outstanding balance from previous semesters. Since then, I’ve been working a job that pays $322 a month. It covers little more than my basic living expenses and isn’t enough to pay off my debt or support me through the remainder of my degree.

Right now, I’m staying with someone temporarily, and I have four weeks before I need to leave. After that, I don’t have anywhere else to go.

I have a plan to change my situation. I want to return to school this fall and complete the Biomedical Science degree I’ve already spent years working toward. However, before the university can issue my enrollment letter, I must first clear my outstanding balance. I also need that enrollment letter before I can apply for my student visa.

Once I raise the first €5,000 of my overall goal, I’ll be able to register for my courses and begin the visa application process. That process takes about two months, so if I can’t start it soon, I risk arriving after classes have already begun.

I’m raising €38,000 to cover the full cost of completing my degree, including:

* Tuition fees, including my outstanding balance and my final two semesters

* Housing for the remainder of my studies

* Flights and visa-related expenses

* A laptop and essential school supplies, so I can keep up with my coursework and continue earning an income through online work while I study

I know this is a significant amount to ask for, but every contribution brings me one step closer to finishing what I started, earning my degree, and building a future where I can support myself.

Every euro—even €5 or €10—brings me closer to receiving my enrollment letter.
