Help Me Complete MSc & Launch a Mindfulness Initiative KAMAL

Donation protected
Hello, I’m Dr Avinash Bansode, a former medic, mindfulness teacher, and currently MSc Psychological Studies (Mental Health) student at the University of Aberdeen.

Over the last three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to making mindfulness and kindness practices accessible and meaningful—for leaders, NHS teams, international students, and underserved grassroots communities.

Why I'm Fundraising
I’ve achieved 'A' grades in most of my MSc modules, and I’m now in the final phase—completing my thesis on the impact of a single-session mindfulness intervention on embodied cognition and emotions.

To stay fully focused and honour the integrity of this work, I need to raise £4,100 by August 15th to secure my tuition and complete my thesis project on time. This will also allow me to launch the Kind Accepting and Mindful Approach to Living (KAMAL) programme in January 2026 and continue serving communities with clarity and full focus.

What You’re Supporting
You're helping me:
✅ Graduate with distinction and launch a validated, evidence-informed mindfulness model
✅ Expand access to community-based, trauma-sensitive programmes in the UK and globally
✅ Develop KAMAL—a holistic mindfulness training shaped by medicine, Buddhist psychology, and real-world wellbeing practice

How Funds Will Be Used: Settle Remaining Tuition: £4,100

Why It Matters

  • Mental health access for community
  • Teacher training for future practitioners
  • Kindness-based leadership and self-care skills in communities, charities, schools and workplaces

Dr. Avinash Bansode (Founder, KAMAL)
Mindfulness Wellbeing Practitioner | NHS | MSc (Mental Health)

“Our team became acutely aware of the emotional and professional strain staff faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. We reached out to Avinash for support, and were encouraged when two-thirds of our team expressed interest in mindfulness. The programme he delivered was highly engaging, and the impact was clear—staff felt more connected, grounded, and better able to care for their wellbeing in a kind and mindful way.” — Charlie McMillan, CEO

“I’ve known Avinash for over a decade and have attended several of his eight-week mindfulness courses and multiple retreats. His teaching is simply life-changing—deeply grounded, accessible, and transformative.” — David Cartmell, Director, CSQ Consult

“In tune, safe, authentic, and deeply intuitive—Avinash is a flowing fountain of mindful presence. His ability to create safe, grounded spaces for transformation is rare and powerful.” — Anne Macdonald, People & Culture Specialist
