Hi friends,
This is a hard thing for me to write, but it feels important to be honest. Seven years ago, a period of my life began that broke me open in ways I didn’t expect. After years of struggling with addiction, I experienced a traumatic event that deeply affected my mental health and my sense of self. There were moments when I wasn’t sure how I would make it through.
Music became the place where I could tell the truth when I couldn’t say it out loud. It became a way to process, to survive, and eventually, to heal. The songs that became "This World Needs You" were written during that time. It isn’t a concept project or a polished idea — it’s a body of work that came directly out of real experiences, real pain, and real recovery.
Writing these songs helped me stay here when I wasn't sure I could. Finishing them feels like closing a chapter and honoring how far I’ve come. That’s why I’m asking for support now.
I’m raising funds to complete this album properly and release it into the world with care and integrity. The funds will support mixing and mastering, studio time and collaborators, artwork, and release costs — so the project can exist beyond my hard drive and be shared as it was meant to be.
This isn’t about chasing fame or numbers.
It’s about completing something meaningful and sharing it with others who may be struggling — an offering of connection and hope.
While this project began as a deeply personal act of survival, it eventually grew into something larger — a reminder that every person deserves to feel that they belong here.
Once the album is finished, I plan to share it through small listening gatherings and intimate events centered around honesty, connection, and conversation — especially for people navigating recovery, mental health challenges, grief, or major life transitions.
I don’t see this music as a solution or a statement — just an offering.
Something that says:
You’re not alone.
You belong here.
This world needs you.
I’m sharing this with my personal community — friends, family, and people who’ve known me across different seasons of my life — because you’re the reason I’ve been able to keep going. If you’ve ever checked in on me, listened to my music, shared a quiet conversation, or believed in me when I didn’t fully believe in myself, this project carries pieces of that support inside it.
Contributing isn’t just about money. It’s about being part of the moment where this chapter gets completed and released into the world.
Thank you for being here.
If my music has ever helped you, or if you believe in art as a form of healing and connection, this is a direct way to support that work. Any amount helps. Sharing the link helps just as much. And if you’re not in a position to give, please know that your presence in my life already matters more than you know.
Thank you for reading this. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being part of my life in every way you’ve shown up.
This album exists because I survived.
Finishing it feels like a gift, and I’m grateful to share that moment with you.
With love and honesty,
Amanda
