Hi everyone,

My name is Naglis Montvilas, and I’m an Irish para-athlete competing in Powerchair Football, a sport that has given me incredible opportunities, friendships, and a platform to push my limits.

I was diagnosed with SMA Type 2 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), and from a young age, I knew that traditional sports wouldn’t be an option for me. But when I discovered Powerchair Football at just 8 years old, everything changed. This sport became more than just a game—it became my passion, my drive, and the only sport where I have full independence.

On the pitch, I don’t have to rely on anyone else—I have complete control over my movements, my decisions, and my game. It’s an incredible feeling, and it’s why I dedicate so much to this sport.

I’m reaching out for support to help me continue competing internationally—whether representing Ireland in future tournaments or playing abroad to develop my skills at the highest level.

Why This Matters

Competing internationally requires covering costs for travel, accommodation, and training, all of which add up quickly. On top of that, having the right equipment is crucial in this sport, and a newer chair would massively improve my performance on the pitch.

Why I Need Your Support

Competing at this level comes with significant costs, and I’m looking for support to help cover:

✅ A New Generation Strikeforce Powerchair – My current Strikeforce chair is over 8 years old, and to stay competitive, I need a modern, high-performance chair like the New Generation Strikeforce, which is used by top players worldwide.
