Hi! My name is Reka Dominika. I am a Jiu-Jitsu athlete representing the Norwegian Roger Gracie Academy and I’m chasing a dream of becoming a Jiu-Jitsu World Champion. I am reaching out for your support so together we can spread hope and the belief that dreams are worth fighting for.

Why This Championship Means So Much to Me

Competition is where I thrive. I did kayaking since the age of 9 and I’ve worked hard to win silver medals at the European- and World Championships. This journey shaped my work ethic in so many ways, and through discipline and perseverance, I’ve found myself moving to Norway to study on a master's level. Here, I discovered Jiu-Jitsu, and it gave me a new purpose. 3 months in I was already competing and within a year I climbed up to 12th place on the IBJJF World’s ranking list in my weight category. Then, I got promoted to a new belt and with that I became eligible to participate in the Worlds in 2025. Competing at this level represents the fulfillment of years of hard work and dedication for me. And I believe, winning the gold would pave my way to bring back valuable experience and help the next generation of athletes.

How your support makes a difference

Alongside my athletic career, I am constantly working towards the goal to support athletes who dare to dream big, even when it feels out of reach. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and I am finishing my master’s in Leadership and Organizational Psychology soon. The next step is to acquire an MSc in Clinical psychology, so I can help athletes overcome the mental and emotional challenges that often accompany high-level competition.

How you can help

Competing internationally comes with a lot of costs: travel, accommodation, tournament fees, training camps, and gear. I give my all, but I need help to cover the costs of this year’s World Championships. Any contribution, big or small, brings me closer to stepping on the mat and fighting for the gold in the Walter Pyramid arena, at Long Beach, California.
