In Fall 2024, I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD (CPTSD). At that point, my mental and physical health were severely impacted. I struggled to leave my home, attend class, or function consistently in an academic environment.
I did not leave the University of Georgia because of a lack of effort or commitment. I reached a point where my nervous system and health could not sustain daily academic demands, and I was unable to access the level of support I needed while navigating a new environment.
Since then, I have spent the past year focused on recovery, accountability, and rebuilding stability. I’ve learned how trauma shaped my decisions and how to move forward with discipline instead of fear. I am now ready to return to school and finish my education.
To re-enroll at UGA, I must first pay off an outstanding balance from Fall 2024. The balance is currently $2,600+ and continues to accrue interest. Until this balance is cleared, I cannot return.
How funds will be used:
• Paying off my UGA balance so I can re-enroll
• Supporting stable, healthy housing so I can maintain my mental health
• Covering essential student expenses (books, fees, transition costs)
My goal is to return to UGA and pursue a path in student support and school counseling. The people who supported me during my hardest moments gave me structure, safety, and purpose. I want to use my education and lived experience to support students who are struggling the way I once was.
For my birthday, instead of gifts, I’m asking for support in clearing this final barrier so I can return to school and continue building a stable, meaningful future.
Thank you for reading, donating, or sharing. Every bit of support truly helps.
