Help Me Chase My Dreams in Costa Rica✈️

Hi, my name is April and I’m raising money to make a big dream come true: moving to Costa Rica! I will have the opportunity to reconnect with my roots, spend time with family, get my dual citizenship, teach English, learn Spanish, and fully immerse myself in the culture and language of the country my dad once called home! This move means everything to me.

A little background: My dad passed away about 3 years ago from terminal cancer. A blessing and a curse, some might say. The curse was knowing the end was coming. The blessing was having the time to say goodbye and to make him a promise.

While this move has always been a dream of mine, it’s also a promise. I promised my dad I’d experience this beautiful country for myself, build a relationship with our family there, and learn Spanish so I could truly connect with them. I’ve never been someone who’s felt a strong “calling” in life, until now. I’ve felt something pulling me to this for a long time. I like to believe it’s him, calling me to my second home.

Asking for help has never been easy for me—but this isn’t just about money. This is an invitation to support something real and meaningful: the start of my next chapter, filled with growth, healing, and purpose.

I’m planning to move before the end of the year, exact date is dependent on funds. The money raised will help cover travel expenses, tuition for teaching and language courses, and storage costs. This support will give me the foundation I need to land on my feet and begin building a new life abroad.
