Hello my name is Jaziah. I am a 17 year old basketball player for Ipswich Basketball Club & Copleston Basketball Academy.
I’m reaching out because I recently tore my ACL and a cartilage in my knee playing basketball. This happened just as I was starting to make real progress and had the chance to go far in a sport that’s everything to me. Basketball isn’t just a game,it’s my life, my passion, and what I revolve my whole world around. This injury has been a huge setback.
It happened during a jump, something so natural in basketball, but now I’m facing surgery and a long road of rehab. I was working hard every day to improve and reach my potential, but this injury has put that on hold. The medical bills and recovery costs are overwhelming, so I’m asking for your support to help me get through this tough time.
My goal is to play basketball in America, where the sport is highly competitive and offers incredible opportunities. I want to develop my skills by competing against some of the best players in the world and learn from top coaches. Ultimately, I aim to build a professional career in basketball, making a lasting impact in the sport and inspiring others through my journey. Playing in America would be a dream come true and a major step toward achieving my ambitions. However, the NHS waiting time for surgery combined with the rehab time for this injury could seriously jeopardise my chances of playing and studying overseas… So I am doing all I can to raise the funds to get this operation as soon as possible.
Beyond just playing, I’ve always tried to be a good role model for others ,showing dedication, hard work, and positivity both on and off the court.
Your generosity means the world to me and will help me come back stronger, ready to chase my dream again. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can offer.
